The system supports a variety of operations, including dispensing performed prior to input into the medical prescription computer, and parallel dispensing by multiple pharmacists. In addition, the drugs to be picked are displayed in shelf number order, eliminating the need to walk around the dispensing room. Efficient picking reduces waiting time for patients.

Inventory operation is also easy: simply use the handy terminal to read the barcode on the medicine cabinet and enter the actual amount of inventory. Inventoried drugs and inventory quantities can be checked on the main unit’s PC screen and data can be output. This can also be reflected in the medical receipt computer to manage drug inventory within the pharmacy.
